Our Story

Three decades of hands-on craft

Meet the shop behind every table, cabinet, and staircase we build.

Founded in 1994

Started with one workbench and a lot of sawdust

Ulbrich's Woodshop began in a one-car garage with a single workbench and a commitment to doing things the right way — no shortcuts, no laminate, no particleboard. Three decades later, that same philosophy runs through every piece that leaves our shop.

We work almost exclusively in solid hardwood, using joinery techniques that have barely changed in a hundred years, because they simply work better and last longer. Every table, cabinet, and staircase is built as if it were going into our own home.

What We Believe

The values behind every cut

Sustainable Sourcing

We source hardwood from responsibly managed forests, and every scrap is repurposed or reclaimed.

Traditional Joinery

Mortise and tenon, dovetails, and hand-cut joints — built to hold for generations without hardware failing.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every piece is backed by a workmanship guarantee, because we stand behind what we build.

Family-Run Shop

Three generations of the Ulbrich family have worked this shop, and every client is treated like family too.
